Sciatica

Sciatica is a term used to describe a symptom, typically a sharp, shooting pain that travels down the leg. You may also experience numbness, tingling, or weakness in the affected limb and typically hear the phrase ā€˜trapped nerveā€™.

What is Sciatica? It is an irritation to the sciatic nerve, which is often triggered from a disc herniation, muscle spasm, joint-related dysfunction, pregnancy or trauma.

Sciatica can present with a series of worrying symptoms, however it is often very normal and requires an expert to diagnose and treat, ensuring that the condition resolves and doesnā€™t return in the future.
